The situation
Maman Grâce lives in Dallas. In three weeks her father turns 70. She wants to bring the family together: about sixty people in Dallas, plus the uncles and aunts in Kinshasa who will follow on WhatsApp video.
It is all in her head and none of it on paper. Tonight, between work and the kids, she has ten minutes on her phone. This is her first conversation with an AI assistant. She has no magic words. She is simply going to explain her situation, the way she would to a niece who had time to help.
What she needs
- A to-do list between now and the party, so nothing is forgotten.
- An invitation message in French, warm and family-style, short, ready to paste into the family WhatsApp group.
What to do with it
- 1Open an AI assistant, any of them, and explain Grâce's situation, all at once. That is your prompt.
- 2Get her list and her invitation. It works well. That is the easy part. When you have both, you are already using AI properly.
- 3Ask for one small thing more: a Lingala proverb to open the invitation. And watch what it does with something it knows poorly.
- 4Fix what needs fixing. Grâce keeps control of what should stay in the family.
Notice, before anything else: Grâce knows no technical words. She says who she is, what she wants, for whom, and in what form. That is all. That is already the method.
